see a penny pick it up and all day long you'll have good luck / 2:43:00 PM

it took me some time to get used to the coins, the various denominations, how a penny, a nickle, a dime, a quarter looks back in the united states. the penny is the smallest in size and in amount. the quarter is the biggest in size and in amount. the confusion comes in the 10cent value dime is actually smaller than a 5cent value nickle. but anyway i still got the hang out of it. albeit the first few weeks where i was digging the coins and the cashier or my friends had to help me with identifying what coins were needed for payment.

see a penny pick it up, and all day long you'll have good luck.

i'm not too sure if lady luck has been on my side. sometimes i curse the bad timing i have with the lack of jobs that i really want to do. i leave my mobile on all the time just in case i get a call early in the morning from a possible employer. no luck so far. sometimes i wonder if i'm that lousy, or i have high expectations, or maybe things are just not in my control. sit and wait.

see a penny pick it up and all day long you;ll have good luck

or maybe i'm too anxious. what to do. most of my peers are employed. and as the elder sibling naturally i'll feel that pressure to get a job soon enough. yet i really want to make sure that job i'm applying for is what i want. picky maybe.

when the going gets tough the tough gets going. i am going bonkers. boing boing boing. i'm using humor to lighten things up a little in case whoever is reading this out there thinks that i'm heading off a cliff.

yes. bonkers. sometimes its just tired to wait, to consider options. then what happens when the options you want are all used up?

or maybe i should just count my blessings. i'm safely back from the states. i have daniel. i have a bff to whine and pig out too. i have been using my free time to exercise loads. i have a roof over my head. i'm healthy. i have the luxury of seating in this al fresco area to blog at 3pm on a thursday afternoon. i have a sister with that baby bear of hers to entertain me.

urgh. at this point i should have a lighter head. but no. i still want to tear my hair apart.

initially i wanted this post to be a 'always look on the bright side' happy post. but ok it looks like its not going to end that way. i'm going to nibble on bread.
